La Causerie – January 10, 2026

We welcomed 26 members and guests at our luncheon at Bistro La Baguette.  It was our first Causerie of the year … and three members talked about different topics related to France:  (1) Beth Hall shared her experience as a student for three weeks at the prestigious language school Institut de Français in Villefranche sur-Mer, a town on the French Riviera … (2) Mercy Indyk talked about how to choose a French “fromage”, to display on a charcuterie board … and (3) Olena Gryshchenkova spoke about Apt, a little town in Provence and how people live there, also about market days.  We thank them all for their dedication and help to our members.

Ciné Club – January 31, 2026

Marc and Mercy graciously hosted us in their home to watch “Joy House”, a 1964 French mystery–thriller filmstarring Jane Fonda, Alain Delon … the film was originally titled “Les Félins”, which means “the cats”.
We enjoyed a tray of charcuterie, olives, nuts, fresh fruits, various cheeses with baguettes. The hosts served red, white and rose wines … with various soft drinks.
Everyone had a good time. We cannot wait to have another Ciné Club evening … we will let you know the title, time and place.

Mardi Gras Celebration – February 13, 2026

We celebrated our annual Fête du Mardi Gras at Pho 80 Restaurant in North Naples. Chef/Owner Quyen treated us to a delicious, seven-course dinner that was served family style. The theme of the event was the 1972 Academy Award winning film, “Cabaret”, with everyone dressed in lively costumes. As always, it was a fun soirée.

Défilé de Mode et Déjeuner (Fashion Show/Fund Raiser) – March 25, 2026

For our 32nd annual Défilé de Mode et Déjeuner (Fashion Show/Fund Raiser), thirty (30) members and guests were treated to a delicious French lunch & dessert at Imperial Golf Club in North Naples, for which we thank Benefactor Mary Burchell for hosting us. Seven members modeled the beautiful fashions of Dillard’s Department Store Naples, with dynamic commentary provided by Asst. Store Manager Morgan Brooks. Many thanks to Gen. Store Manager Josue Rios for the generosity of Dillard’s, and for the beautiful gift basket won by Beth Hall.

Assemblée Générale – April 25, 2026

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Assemblée Générale/Annual Business Meeting was held at Café Normandie in North Naples, preceded by dinner consisting of delicious French dishes especially prepared by Chef Anthony. Denyse Jenkins was re-elected President. Alexandra Tomodan was elected to the Board of Directors.

Pique-Nique de Fin de Saison – May 9, 2026

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, twenty-three (23) members enjoyed a delicious luncheon at the beautiful Port Royal residence of Beth Hall for our End-of-Season Picnic. President Denyse Jenkins awarded Beth Hall as the Volunteer of the Year 2025.

La Table Française – June 6, 2026

On the evening of Saturday, June 6, 2026, fourteen (14) members and guests enjoyed Chef James’ delicious cuisine at Côte d’Azur Restaurant in North Naples at La Table Française, at which we shared lively conversation en français and en anglais. We welcomed our new Business Partner, Martin Davant, of Evans Roofing of Southwest Florida. It was a very successful, outgoing, and pleasant time together … hopefully we will meet with more members at next month’s event.
